Don't worry, thats just how you're born. All it takes to grow is posts. Here's a list of post count ranks (the number is how many posts are required for you to become that rank):
kit - 0
apprentice - 60
warrior - 120
senior warrior - 500
elder -750
starclan cat - 1000
Since you're now able to have more than one cat, the post ranks don't really serve any purpose beyond giving you bragging rights over those who don't have as many stars as you.
The only other purpose is that you must be at least an apprentice in the post ranks before you can audition for a high rank. This is how i judge how active you will be, because no one wants a leader whos never there.
How do I get a high rank position? What duties will I have if I am able to do that?
To become a high rank, such as medicine cat apprentice, medicine cat, deputy, or leader, you must have at least 60 posts (apprentice rank in the post ranks). When a position becomes available an audition will be held for members to show me the skills and behaviors that will determine if they are fit to become a high rank. Basically, you just have to prove to me that you are active, and that your posts consist of more than one sentence. Also, only one high ranked position will be awarded to any member, which means, if you audition for more than one position and I think you've got the qualifications, you'll have to choose one of them. There are 4 high ranks per clan, and 4 clans, meaning that there are enough positions for 16 people at a time.
Any member who has a high rank position must be active. The leaders are required to perform any necessary ceremonies for their members (ie. apprentice ceremony, etc.), as well as make sure their members know any news about the clan they are in and decide which characters get to attend the rp gathering. Deputies are the aids of their leaders, reminding them when a new ceremony is required. They also can perform the 'book' duties, meaning organising patrols and such. The medicine cat and medicine cat apprentice perform 'book' duties, keep their cats healthy, but they also recieve the messages from starclan (fernleaf) and keep the peace between the cats in their clan.
Who is Fernleaf and why is she the only member with the Star Clan Patroller member group?
Fernleaf is the alternate account of the Admin, or Alter-ego. She was created as the only real starclanner who's sole purpose is to perform those duties of a starclanner. Such duties may include giving leaders their nine lives, sending prophecies/messages to the medicine cats, etc.
We're expected to create a biography for our characters, but there doesn't appear to be any bio form for me to follow. How do I give the right information to the admin about my character if I don't know what she wants?
That is where you're wrong. There is a bio form, but instead of adding to the difficulty of copying and pasting the form in the right place, I've used a code to give you the layout of the form when you click the *new thread* button on the bio form board. The only drawback to this system is that you must be able to fill out the whole form in one sitting. It will not allow you to post the bio if you have not filled in all necessary information. <- if you wish to post it and come back to it later, please write something in each empty box and type UNFINISHED in the 'other' position.
What about killing off my cats?
If you wish to remove a cat from your list in order to make room for a new cat, for example, it must not be part of any major plots. You must finish all roleplays that involve this cat, and you must pm the admin for permission.
If you wish for your cat to join starclan, you must kill it in a roleplay and pm the admin regarding this death.
